Emsflower is the largest nursery in Europe, located in Emsbüren. I had been to the store a few times, but there is also a section connected to the main building where various gardens with animals can be found. One part is a tropical garden with many plants and a large pond where a multitude of butterflies of various species can be observed.
Another part is dedicated to insects. Here, there are huge animated insect models with detailed descriptions of everything you need to know about them. You can also walk through a section that is half jungle and half desert with countless types of cacti. The whole experience is rounded off with great indoor and outdoor playgrounds, as well as an insight into modern forms of fruit, vegetable, and flower cultivation. If you are hungry or thirsty at the end, you can treat yourself to something good in the restaurant.
A delightful afternoon in a beautiful and very relaxed environment. However, I was there during the week, when it was probably much less crowded than on weekends.
