The weather forecast for that weekend looked reasonably good, so I spontaneously decided to visit Antwerp in Belgium. I spent the first day in the Trollenbos near the metropolis, located in Boom, enjoying beautiful weather. This park is also the annual venue of the famous Tomorrowland Festival.
However, instead of listening to pounding electronic beats, I set out in search of the giant troll sculptures hidden throughout the park. Spread across the extensive grounds, these large wooden figures could be discovered everywhere, making the place feel like an enchanted fairy-tale forest. The next day, I headed into Antwerp itself, exploring the diamond capital by foot. The city's central railway station was already highly impressive, and the picturesque old town was equally captivating. Admittedly, the city was quite crowded due to the weekend, but even a single day offers plenty to discover.
