Well-known bands and newcomer

One thing is still missing from last year’s concert season, and that’s the Graspop Metal Meeting, which took place in June in Dessel, Belgium. I’ve finished the first festival day, which ranged from well‑crafted thrash metal by Municipal Waste to dreamy sounds from Charlotte Wessels, all the way to the heavier tones of Motionless in White, who really impressed me. I also don’t want to forget Warkings with their heroic performance, and Landmvrks, who were quite minimalistic but still left a lasting impression.
Dream Theater delivered an incredible set, though not everyone in front of the stage seemed able to fully appreciate it. In the evening, Iron Maiden performed their more than two‑hour collection of hits against an impressive audience. The whole thing was part of their 50th anniversary tour. As the final act, Powerwolf tore up the stage once more and delivered a spectacular show.
