Unfortunately, the weather did not improve at the beginning of the second festival day, and rain showers dominated the morning. Therefore, I preferred to have an extensive breakfast first and arrived at the festival grounds a little later. As a result, I missed the openers X-Divide, Frank The Baptist, and She Past Away. But by the time .com/kill took the stage, the sky finally cleared, and more people gathered in front of it.
For those who might find the duo familiar: .com/kill is the slightly harder side project of “Diary Of Dreams” artists Adrian Hates and Gaunt:A. From their self-titled debut album, seven songs were played, characterized by heavily distorted shouts paired with electronic pounding beats. This immediately got the first people dancing in front of the stage, and the mood rose with each song. The project is not seen very often, so I was quite taken with it, even though it’s not quite my usual musical direction. The stage was very minimalistic with a synthesizer and a back panel, but the two artists took up significantly more space. They kept switching at the instrument and urged the audience to join in. Unfortunately, the time slot was not very long, so they had to say goodbye after a short time.
It was short and intense, but it drew you in completely. A truly exciting side project from Diary Of Dreams, which should definitely appear more often at concerts and festivals.
