After the harder electronic beats and vocals, we stayed in the electronic realm, but now a bit poppier. The three Hamburgers around singer and guitarist Lennart Salomon with keyboardists Florian Sikorski and Martin Weiland were guests at Blackfield for the second time. The audience became a bit more numerous as the set opened with the single “Flames Get Higher”.
Currently, they are working on a new album, and one got to listen to two completely new songs, “Too Little Too Much” and “Leave Me As I Am”. It’s not yet known when the accompanying album will be released, but it will probably take a while. Overall, the mood on and in front of the stage was excellent. People sang along, danced, and had a great time. Of course, older hits like “20,000 Guns” or “Keep Control” from the 2002 debut “Solid State” were not missing. It was a well-rounded mix that couldn't be diminished by minor technical problems.
I didn’t know these friendly guys before, but they left a thoroughly positive impression on me. Not something I would listen to every day, but a nice moment to catch your breath on a packed festival schedule.
